We leave Canada today crossing back into the United States into Montana going through Great Falls on our way to Butte, located just south of Helena, the capital of Montana. Butte, known for its deep mine shafts, lies on a plateau, 5,765 feet above sea level

This morning we drive through Bozeman on our way to Yellowstone National Park. From the description in the tour book it looks like we will tour Yellowstone upon our arrival before checking into our lodging for the night in Yellowstone.

Today we drive through Yellowstone to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, visiting Artist Point on the south rim. Afterwards we drive around Lake Yellowstone toward the East Gate of the park. We then drive a short distance to Cody, Wyoming for a tour of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. We stay in Cody tonight.

Traveling east today we are going up Shell Canyon, part of the Big Horn Mountains and back down the other side into Sheridan, Wyoming heading for our evening destination of Deadwood, South Dakota located in the Black Hill National Forest. Tonight we attend the famous Black Hills Passion Play.

This morning we tour the Black Hills seeing Mount Rushmore and Bear Country U S A wildlife park on 250 acres featuring bears, wolves, elk, moutain lions, and other animals all living in their natural habitat. As we continue on toward Wall, South Dakota for our evening lodging and tour of the Badlands.

Today is another travel day as we head east for Sioux Falls, SD. We cross the Missouri River in Chamberlain then make a stop at the famous Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD before driving on to Sioux Falls for the night.

Looks like another long travel day as we first drive South along the Missouri River into Iowa from Sioux Falls in the morning. This afternoon we turn east for the long drive across the state of Iowa to the border of Iowa and Illinois for our evening destination of of the Quad cities of Davenport, Iowa and Moline, Illinois. Our flying group members of the tour will depart for home via the sky and leave the last two days of driving to us.
