It’s been at least three weeks or more since I have done anything with the leaves because of the seed and fertilizer being down, the extended beach trip, and the folks. We have still not had any rain since the lawn service came back to put down the winter fertilizer and with daylight savings time ending it has been too dark when I get off work to water.
After I changed the linens and balanced the checkbook it was around 9:30, late enough on a Saturday morning to fire up the lawn equipment. I blew the leaves off the natural area on the right side of the yard onto the driveway. In order not to disturb the stuff down in lawn I just did a light across the top of the grass blowing to get the worst of the leaves off the lawn. I then fired up the vacuum to get them up from the driveway.
On the left side of the lawn I blew the leaves onto the big natural area under the maple then used the vacuum. The city collected leaves yesterday so I just dumped the vacuum bag in the back natural area.
Two hours later I finally made it to the back. After I blew the leaves from the yard near the deck onto the natural area there they were knee deep on me. I still had the ones on the lower part of the lawn so get up so I blew those down to the corner. I was too tired to mess with the ones under the deck and the maple tree but that is all natural area so they can wait until next week. I wanted to at least get the leaves off the grass in case we do get rain or so I can water tomorrow.
After lunch I made a drugstore, library, and grocery store run. This afternoon Bob had kit projects for me while I watch some of my shows.
