I am reading a new Leslie Meier mystery, Easter Bunny Murder. Lucy Stone, newspaper reporter from Tinker’s Cove, solves another holiday themed murder.
The social worker from Thomasville Hospital called this afternoon to let me know mom is being discharged tomorrow. This was not new since the hospital web page for their senior geriatric behavior treatment recommended roughly 12 days as a routine stay. While she is improved enough to try coming home again, we will have to see how she gets does. She already had an appointment for Wednesday afternoon made from before she went in the hospital. Hopefully the first 24 hours will go well and we can give the doctor a good report. Frances will wrap up dad duty tonight. I will go by Creekside to pick up dad before I go get her tomorrow afternoon. I am sure we will have to go by the drugstore to drop off prescriptions on the way home, then I will get them settled in. Frances will most likely come by to welcome mom home but we are not staying at night. Hopefully things will go well. This will be the make or break, third strike your out deal. If it does not work this time we will have to move her to an assisted living/dementia facility.
