Today is my mom and dad’s 67th wedding anniversary, Unfortunately, dad is in the hospital again. Frances and Al took him back to the doctor on Thursday morning to have his stitches check. We knew dad had been gaining fluid weight in his legs again. The doctor was not only concerned about the fluid but also taking the stitches out might cause some problems due to the major edema in his leg. They did some blood work and his family doctor was going to contact his heart doctor.
Yesterday around 12:30 his doctor called with his report. Dad’s creatinine level was fine as was the test for CHF. But, he wanted to check dad in to the hospital to get some of the fluid off and for them to take out the stitches just in case there was a problem,
I already had plans for the evening to go to dinner and The Kruger Brothers concert at the Yadkin Arts Cultural Center. After I talked with the doctor I called Frances on her cell. She said she would check with Al and see if he would take him over, which turns out is a good thing he did.
During the intermission, around 9pm, I called Frances. Dad did not get checked in and up to his room until after 5pm which means I would have missed my much needed evening out. Frances met Al and mom at the hospital after she got off from work. They visited for awhile then went to dinner. Mom decided she wanted to stay at their house last night instead of being alone in the apartment.
I had long list of errands to run this morning including the library and grocery store. I then washed both cars and picked up a yard cart full of sticks.
This afternoon kit stuff while watching the golf match.
