A very hectic day at work. I am helping Deb, one of our paralegals, with a project for another one who is out for a couple of weeks. It’s not a hard project; just one that requires attention to detail after detail after detail. And, since the secretary I support was out both Friday and yesterday, all the work she processed to get caught up filtered down to me. I worked straight though from 8:15 to five to get finished up so I could get to the Y though I Deb I could stay late if she needed me.
Dad had torn a place on his arm last Friday while he was out with mom and Frances. With his skin so thin there is really not much that can be done so Frances just took him home and bandaged it as best as possible. It was fine Sunday and I guess, yesterday.
Anyway, Bob called about 4:45 to let me know mom had called. Dad’s arm was bleeding all over the place and he needed to go to the hospital. I was right in the middle of finishing up something so I told Bob to call mom back and tell her to pull the cord.
It was about 5:10 when I left work. I called Bob for an update but he had not heard anything more. I called mom and she said she just bandaged it as best she could but he should see a doctor since it bled to badly. I called Bob to let him know I was heading over there. When I got to Creekside dad was getting redressed from where he had bled all over his pants and mom had gone on downstairs to eat dinner. While the bandaging job looked a mess it seemed to do the trick. Dad did not want to go to Urgent Care so I called the home health nurse to let her know what was going on. She said just leave it until tomorrow and she would look at it.
I stopped downstairs on the way out to let mom know I had stopped by and to take dad something up for dinner.
