Dinner out tonight with Marcy at Five Points. From there I went by mom’s to see how she was doing and drop off something for her then to Frances’ to give her an update on dad after I had talked with the social worker late this afternoon. I also had to pick up her system unit for Bob to take a look at. It is one we built for them.
Dad was moved to a regular room on the family practice floor yesterday afternoon. They still do not know what or where the infection is. I doubt he will go home before Friday at the earliest.
Yesterday my mom’s oldest sister, Dora, died at 97 years of age. She lived in Greensboro. Al and Frances brought her down to the beach last year. She had grown very frail and was in the hospital earlier this year. They had moved her to a nursing home but until then was still living in their house. Her husband died three years ago at the age of 100. Of the 14 children four left; three girls and one boy. Mom is the youngest of the girls at 85, her brother is the youngest at 80. Frances is taking mom to the funeral tomorrow. I will stay in town in case I am needed at the hospital.
