The very long work week finally came to an end. I spent most of it working on a hideously tedious project that I will have to wrap up next week.
We drove out this morning to pick up the but it was not ready which meant I had to bring Bob back home since it was going to be at least two hours until it was finished. I was very tempted to pull in the drive and take a PDO but that is not my style. I don’t crap out of work just because I’ve had a bad week or running low on energy.
Bob called mid morning to let me know the car was home safely. This was the first time he had driven it. And, like the first time I drove it, he had trouble finding all the buttons to do things like turn on the AC, roll down the window, etc.
I filled the Trooper up with the gas on the way home then parked it in the garage. We took my car up to Zoe’s for dinner.
Last night we watched the first of four new episodes of Upstairs/Downstairs. Six years after the Bellamy’s left 124 Eaton Place, a young couple has bought it and moved in. Jean Marsh who played Rose now runs a hiring agency for placing house staff. The cast has some familiar faces from other Masterpiece Shows.
