Bob and I drove out to the post office to mail a kit then over to the garden store for him to pick up a bag of vermiculite to use for packing material. When we got back I left the car parked outside the garage door and pulled the Trooper outside as well.
Bob wanted to move the stuff we were storing on the shelves by his kit packing area over to the ones on the other side of where the cars are parked. It was easier to walk back and forth with the cars out of the way. While he did that I flattened cardboard boxes to haul off and bagged up all the miscellaneous packing material we had been saving that Bob decided he can’t use. We then found places to store the odd sized wood and trimming that was being stored in his kit packing area.
The basement looks much better. Bob was able to fit most of the stuff he had on the floor in the finished area plus in the living room on the shelves.
I hauled off the load of cardboard and came back for the eight or so bags of packing material to take to the shipping store. But, they don’t take it anymore because they can’t use it. I tried the city dump but it was closed already. So, I brought it all back home. We will put a few bags in the roll out trash cart each week to get rid of it.
By the time all this was finished it was too late in the afternoon to start my yard chores. I did mix up several batches of Roundup for spraying the weeds and the few strands of liriope that started peaking up through the area I mulched. I also sprayed the liriope bed at the end of the driveway.
