I worked from 8 to 2:30 then used up 2 hours of vacation which left me the four days I needed to be off until January 2nd. The Firm gave us tomorrow and Wednesday and next Wednesday the 1st. I am looking forward to some time off.
I had several errands to run on the other side of town so I decided while I was in that area to stop at Colfax Furniture to look for a sofa table for the foyer. I’ve been looking for a year and have not been able to find what I wanted to replace the one we are now using. It’s one of the glass top over decorative metal legs. For one thing, it does not go with the rest of the decor of the house and the top part of the legs where they curve stick out past the top and has scratched places in the wall board every time it was bumped. I put duct tape in the ones next to wall to help prevent the legs from doing so much damage. We were given the table by one of the neighbors several years ago. We needed something bigger than what we were using at the time but I have never really liked it.
I finally found a nice oblong table with an interesting wood pattern in the center and dark gray metal holding in the top. It also has a matching second shelf which will come in handy.
We’ve had roughly 2 1/2 inches of rain. That front is finally moving on out this afternoon bringing colder temperatures again.
