It’s a cool, rainy day here in the Triad. A light drizzle has been falling most of the morning, which we can use. More rain on the way from tropical storm Lee. We needed this a month ago but, oh well, we’ll take it when we can get it.
Costco run yesterday afternoon and dinner with Paul and Mary.
I spent most of the morning doing deep clean in the kitchen. I started the oven self cleaning, scrubbed the cook top, cleaned the range hood, the microwave inside and out, the counter top, and the cabinet doors. I hand clean the oven racks instead of leaving them in the oven during the self clean so I had to Brillo pad those and a final scrub down of the sink and fixtures. A good rainy day project.
Next I vacuumed the steps to the downstairs, inside the doorway and the finished area. I am working on some things at my desk. This afternoon we need assemble more bottles for kits. There is US Open tennis and the final round of the golf on TV.
I am reading a new author, Charles Todd. He has two series. I am reading the Bess Crawford series, a nurse in WWI. Friday afternoon I stopped at the used bookstore on the other side of town to look for some authors I have not been able to find from the library. I found several I was looking for but I think I am missing the first books. I will see if Bob can find them for me online. I am more than willing to read them on the Kindle of they are available but some of the authors I am interested do not have their older books available.
