Hi all. Coming to you from the Peaks of Otter in Virginia. We made it to the Blue Ridge Parkway from Winston-Salem in about an hour. On the Parkway we saw a fawn and it’s mom. The fawn was about the size of Colin at six months. It was afraid to cross the road to follow it’s mom when it saw our vehicle. Instead it laid down in the grass instinctively to hide. We stopped and as Marcy inched her way along it turned around and ran back into the tall grass. Beautiful drive up, sunny to partly cloudy but very hazy off in the distance.

We got off the Parkway just north of Bedford, VA to find lunch. We found a cute little local diner in Stewardsville, VA. Back on the Parkway we had an hour drive getting here about 2pm.

We are now waiting on a thunderstorm to pass on over so we can go for a walk around the lake.
