Rain, yea, rain! It rained off and on during the night and all day today. We are up to a little over an inch an half. Currently it’s coming down pretty good again after being mostly a drizzle on the way home. I stopped at the library to pick up some reserves and then made a quick grocery store stop.
Today was the last day of work for Lisa the secretary that supports four of the attorney’s in our group one of which is my supervising attorney. When I started with the IP group I supported Lisa, him, and his paralegal. Over the years I have expanded my job to supporting three paralegals, three secretaries, and seven attorneys which is about half the entire IP group on our floor. I also do some work for a several paralegals/attorney’s in the IP group in other offices. Lisa has been with the Firm for 27 years having started when she was in her late 20’s. She has supported many attorney’s over the years in various practice. groups before the current rule of each secretary having to support at least three and mostly four attorneys.
So, starting Monday things will be a little wild at the office until a new secretary is hired.
