Busy day as usual. I love going on vacation but house and yard work get behind while I am away playing. This morning I met Frances and Al at the storage for one last cleanup. We sorted through mom’s Christmas decorations, wrapping supplies, etc.We sorted and consolidated small boxes into one large storage container of things we wanted to keep but not use. I brought a couple of boxes of things I want to use this year. The majority of the wrapping paper and bags I am taking to work to donate to the Christmas Angel project. One of the secretaries on my floor helps to coordinate the Firm project of “adopting” children that need gifts for Christmas. They can use the paper and bags.
We only took an hour and half to get that done. Back home, I unloaded the Trooper and ate a quick snack before Bob and I took off for Sam’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods to pick up the rifles that had been on order. Remembering how long it took last time we bought guns I brought my book along to read while Bob handled the gun purchasing. It only took a little less than hour this time instead of an hour and half.
After we unloaded the food I took a quick break than vacuumed the house. With 18 mph winds gusting to 25 today it was too windy do get the leaves up anyway. Instead I told Bob we could get all errands and other stuff done today and leave my Sunday free for the yard work.
