I am reading The Stone Wife, a new Peter Diamond mystery by Peter Lovesey. This morning I cleaned the bathroom and did the weekly desk clearing and bill paying.
By 10am I was starting on the front yard. It was windy, which was not in the forecast which made blowing the leaves off the lawn frustrating to say the least. The grass was too high and thick to use the vacuum so instead, I needed to blow the worst of them onto the driveway. Once that was done I mowed then used the vacuum to clear the driveway and small pile of leaves I had blown to the other corner of the yard by the house.
After a lunch break I used the vacuum on the worst of the leaves in the back where the grass was not too high then mowed. Before I even started all that I picked up dozens of small sticks and limbs of various sizes and thickness. The ones in the back I piled in the natural area and until I could get them to the front curb. While I was doing the lawn Bob took the stick pile to the front curb for me using the trash bin as a hauler.
While it was windy it was also nice and cool with temperatures in the mid 60’s and clear skies making it a nice day to be outdoors.
