I am reading the 4th book in the Charlie Parker mystery series by Connie Shelton, Small Towns Can Be Murder.
Warm today, high of 82, and mostly sunny. I had a dentist appointment at 8am this morning. Just a routine cleaning. The hygienist that has been cleaning by teeth since we started going to Dr. Miller at least fifteen years ago or more, is retiring in June. I will miss her.
Y last night and then today more exercise. I had the usual walk to work plus the normal up and down during the day. About 2:45 I was talking to Frances on the phone when the darn fire alarm went off. I did not have any problem doing the ten flights of steps down with the knee though I am glad it was not several weeks ago. Once we were allowed back in the building (it was a drill) I came back up those stairs I climb every morning instead of walking around to the front and coming in that way. Then it was the usual walk back to the parking deck and up those stairs. We have a couple of folks on our floor who cannot do the stairs, they have a designated place to stand where, if it was a real fire, the emergency folks where to get them.
