I took off first thing this morning to run out to Home Depot for some more bags of top soil and to Lowe’s to grab some more contractor grade masking tape for kit preparations.
Since the grass was still damp from a brief downpour last night I finished putting together the remaining small parts bags we started last weekend then started on another batch of 40 while Bob worked on other stuff.
After lunch I mowed and finished filling in the last few feet on both sides of the sidewalk with one bag of dirt and used two more to fill in and reseed the big area at the side of the yard. That was it for lawn projects for the day. I sat on the front porch for 20 minute or so enjoying the nice breeze and resting.
It was time for Colin’s semi-annual bath. He is so intuitive. I had dropped all my dirty clothing in the towel basket for Bob to wash and came back to the bedroom where Colin was waiting for me on the bed for me to take my shower. I petted him and said come on and he took off to hide behind Bob in his office. I called him out into the hall and he ran ahead of me down the stairs and straight for the downstairs bathroom and into the shower. Of course, he cowers against the wall of the shower and paws at the door making me have to wrestle with him to get that side washed but overall he is pretty good.
More kit stuff this afternoon while I watch some golf.
