Another day spent house hunting. Today we looked at two houses in the Jefferson area then road over to the Boone area to check out several in Watauga County. Non of the ones there where good and we discovered we did not like the area as much as we do Jefferson. ASU has pretty much taken over the business district though we were out of town toward Tennessee.
One of the houses we looked in Jefferson we really liked. It is in the city of Jefferson city limits, has city water and sewer. It sits on a corner lot with woods behind and to the left. The only drawback is the master bedroom, the size of the small gymnasium, is up stairs along with another big room and a bonus room. The used to be two bedroom, one bath and they built up, over the two car garage. The stairs are four up, turn a corner, five up. It has a very nice unfinished area in the basement. Unless there is a hidden issue, the house is in move in condition.
We went back to our number one house that we had planned to bid on at the very end for a comparison and decided we could go with the upstairs issue because it is a nicer house, good location, and otherwise fits what we need.
The weather up there was low 80’s, clear blue skies, and low humidity with a great breeze. Once back down here, we have 74, clear skies, no breeze, but only 28% humidity.
