It’s the day after Thanksgiving and by this time I would be in Greensboro at the craft show with Bonnie and had purchased or would be purchasing sometime today my Christmas tree. But, with move preparations in full swing I need to home and of course will buy my tree once we move to Sparta.
For many years Frances, mom, dad, and I would drive up to Sparta to the same “choose and cut” farm then go into Sparta for lunch. At some point in the late 90’s Frances went with an artificial tree and I started buying my trees locally again.
So, now things have come full circle and I am moving to Christmas tree farm country. There are a couple of “choose and cut” farms just down the road from our house. I will go to one of them instead of driving 10 miles or so down the road to the farm we always went to.
