I left the house a little before 8am to drive down to W-S. The route we take up and back comes into W-S on our side of town. I had several errands to near the mall including a bank stop. I was finished and heading back to the house by 10. I grabbed an assortment of stuff from the basement boxed and ready to come up we did not have room for last Saturday. I also dug up the white flowering quince and the Rose of Sharon from the yard. The quince was a cutting off the big bush at mom and dad’s that had been there thirty years or more from a cutting someone gave dad. The Rose of Sharon we planted a year before we sold the house in 2013 and dad wanted me to have it. It has really grown in just a couple of years. I trimmed it way back in September knowing I would be moving it as some point. Both bushes are soaking in a pail of water until I can get them planted here.
I had just enough time to grab a few more boxes and a pile of clothing from out closet before I had to meet Marcy for lunch at 11:30. We had a nice long lunch and exchanged Christmas presents before I headed back up the mountain. It was beautiful day with lots of sunshine around 60 degrees in W-S. It’s sunny and in the mid-50’s up here.
