I spent the day, literally, in Winston. I arrived down there about 9:30 stopping at the garden store that we pass on the way into town to pick up two bags of vermiculite for shipping kits.
From there I stopped at two more places finishing up just in time to get to my 11am haircut appointment. On the way back to ourĀ side of town I stopped at CVS then on to Coppola’s to meet Bonnie for lunch. After lunch we met up at the house. I dug up several large clumps of primroses to bring up here to plant and some for Bonnie to take. I also dug up a few other small plants I wanted to grab. Bonnie brought me seeds and some lamb’s ear.
The cement guys were fixing the front porch. I chatted with them, picked up sticks in the yard, and visited with a couple of the neighbors while waiting on the HVAC guy to come to do the six month inspection. He did not arrive until 3:30 so it was almost 4 by the time I was able to head back up the mountain.
Back up here I had to unload all the plants and put them in the washtub and buckets filled with water to keep them from drying out until I can get them in the ground. Bob had dinner ready by the time I finished doing that and unloading the car.
