We had a fun day today while observing Memorial Day in honor of the men and women who served or are in service to protect our country.
This morning Al, Frances, and I drove to the little produce/plant store just down the road to pick up a few things.
We spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon outside enjoying the warm weather and sunshine doing gardening projects. Al planted two tomato and two red pepper plants in the newly tilled garden. He helped me to plant some marigolds out by the mailbox and an assortment of other bedding plants in hanging pots. After we finished up outside he helped Bob hang one of the shop lights in the lab area then we fired up the grill for a mid-afternoon meal before they headed back to Winston.
Below are a couple of pictures from my stain glass class, of Al tilling the new garden, and of the tomatoes and peppers.
