Today marks the six month anniversary of our move in the house. This morning James showed up about 10:45. We loaded his truck full of the rotted wood in the corner. He hauled that load to the dump and returned about half an hour later to get the rest of it. All that is left is the stuff that has rotten to almost dirt. I will use the rake and pitch fork to smooth it out and let it continue to rot. While I was waiting on James I raked all the small bark pieces and leaves lying by the wood pile to the back corner. I also used the loppers to cut all the low tree limbs and vegetation grown up and over the fence line.

The day started out warm and humid with little or no breeze. The clouds started rolling in from the west while I was waiting on James to return for the second load. Just as we were finishing it started to thunder followed by a good rain shower. That was the teaser storm. Once it passed by Bob came out to help me give Colin a quick bath using the garden hose. Once I had him soaked and soaped Bob brought out a couple of pitchers of warm water for the rinse.

I just managed to get him dried off enough to go in the house and for me to jump in the shower when the big storm arrived with lots of lightening, thunder, and heavy rain.
