Today marks eight weeks since my knee replacement surgery. I feel like it is about 95% healed. Tuesday night I started doing leg presses to try to gain more strength. As far as bending and straightening goes, that is at 100%. Some days it still hurts and I still get an occasional sharp twinge but overall, I am very pleased. The knee held up very well with all the walking we did on the trip.
I worked some more on the Christmas tree decorations last night. I am almost finished with tree but I still have the other stuff to put out including my Christmas village. Tomorrow is my birthday. I won’t be home until late tomorrow night because I have to take dad to his annual golf Christmas banquet.
Bob very cleverly surprised me when I came home tonight by hiding my birthday presents in various parts of the house where I go when I come home; the kitchen table, my side table, the bookcase where I part my pocketbook, and my nightstand. There were six books on my list of which he found all of them. It was sort of like being on an Easter egg hunt but with books. I will mention the titles as I read them.
I went to the store and the library on the way home. We had some reserve books in to be picked up. Yea, plenty of reading material especially with winter approaching.
