I have returned to Sparta after a fun filled two and half days in Winston with Frances and Al. I arrived in Winston Thanksgiving morning around 10:30. Al had started on painting the walls in his shed. Last week Austin put in insulation and sheet rocked the walls and ceiling. I helped Al paint until the paint ran out. After a quick lunch we headed to their storage building. Austin also built them a loft over their garage door for storage. Between the shed and the loft they now have enough room to store the stuff they had been keeping in the loft.
We made three trips over and back, two using my car plus Al’s truck. By then it was 4pm. Time to clean up and head to Cracker Barrel in Clemmon’s. Frances ordered their traditional Thanksgiving meal but Al and I had chicken fingers and sides.
Friday morning Marcy arrived at Frances’ around 8:20. We made a trip out to Tom’s Plant House for them to pick up poinsettia’s. After taking them back home we headed to Greensboro for the craft show. We were there until around 2:30 then drove to the farmer’s market to shop and have dinner at the Moose Cafe then back home.
This morning Al did a run to the storage building around 6:30. Frances and I were up when he arrived back home. I went back over with him to get the last load. We put some of the stuff up in their new garage loft then it was time for me to follow them to Verizon Wireless. I bought a new LG3 flip phone. Once it was activated and ready I took off for Costco then home to Sparta. On the way I stopped off and pick up a tree a Motsinger’s choose and cut.
The tree is in the stand and the car is unpacked. Glad to be home but I had a great a Thanksgiving Holiday.
