The Friends of the Library bookstore is run by volunteers. Right now, between illness, spouse illnesses, and other things, we are a bit short handed. From April to October the store has a few “snow bird” volunteers; those folks who come up to stay for the warm months then go back to Florida or other warm climates for winter. We are open about 40 hours a week with two shifts a day. At the moment a handful of us are trying to keep things going through this rough patch.
This morning I skipped the gym since I had to be at the bookstore by 10 to open. I worked until 1:15 when the afternoon person showed up.
