We had a little excitement this morning. My phone rang at 6am. Not recognizing the number I guessed it to be a spam call. Then I heard the tone I had a voice mail. A minute late Bob’s phone ran with the same number. Thankfully I checked the voice mail. It was Bonnie’s Lifeline calling to tell us she had pressed her button and said she needed help. We quickly dressed and headed up. I have a key to her outer door but never thought to ask where the keys are to the inside doors so I called her niece. Once inside, Bonnie was lying half on and half off the bed. She was awake and coherent but limp as a rag doll. In the meantime Bob had called 911. A sheriff arrived not long after then EMS. I was on the phone with her niece the whole time. We decided she should go to the hospital to be checked out. Bob and I locked up the house and came home. Her niece will call us with updates at some point.
The predicted snow never arrived other than a few flurries. I will be heading down to Winston later this morning for a follow up to the surgery I had last fall. At least no prep other than nothing to eat after midnight last night until after the procedure this afternoon. I will stay in Winston tonight and head back home tomorrow.
