I am reading the first book in Carol Ann Newsome’s A Shot In the Bark ( by A Dog Park Mystery).
It is a beautiful day with lots of sunshine, very little wind, and temperatures in the upper 60’s. My tulips survived all the nasty weather. Some are in full bloom others will be fulled bloomed soon.
I gave Bob a much needed haircut this morning. I had some house cleaning chores to finish up including running the vacuum cleaner and dusting.
I have at least two to three dozen birds on the feeders and the ground all at one time fighting for food. Most are male and female yellow finches with some chickadees, nuthatches, and other assorted birds adding to the count. That does not include all the robins in the yard and the occasional red winged blackbirds and morning doves. I have also discovered a Pileated Woodpecker in the back trees. He is the first one I have ever seen “in the wild”. Needless to say I am filing both feeders very often. Although I don’t have as many cardinals up here I have far more birds to enjoy than I did down in Winston.
