Earlier this week Dennis dropped off a large clear plastic bag full of peat moss and purple flowered daylily bulbs. One of the local families of Sparta, I met him at the gym where he works with one of the trainers three mornings a week when I am there working out. He ordered an entire crate but did want them all and asked if I would like to have the rest.
It’s a perfect day to be outside. Lots of sunshine, low humidity, temps in the mid to upper 70’s and a slight breeze. I spent the morning planting about 150 of the bulbs in the mulch along both sides of the driveway and around the big stump in the back corner of the yard. I still have about 50 or more left which I am going to give to my friend JoAnne.
And on a family note; good luck to my sister Frances. She has worked for a company for the last 15 years that was bought out a couple of years ago. It has always been a stressful job but has become even worse since the buyout. She finally had enough and quite yesterday. It really did come down to her health or her job. I hope she finds something suitable to finish out her working career. In the meantime hopefully she will have time to relax and enjoy some free time while job hunting. We were both raised with excellent work ethics; to be dependable, work hard, and do the best job we can. Any company would be lucky to have her on their payroll.
