We have a real winter wonderland this morning. Everything is covered in white and the snow is still falling. I’m guessing we’ve had 6 to 8 inches here. Tonight we are to get 20 to 30 mph winds with some snow flurries which will blow the snow off the driveway and turn the yard into snow dunes.
Dr. Lee just happened to be in Bob’s unit when I called the nurse the get an update. Dr. Lee said although the recent CT and MRI scans showed Bob had some mini strokes at some point he said Bob is responding to commands and mouthing words. He does not have his voice back yet. The next plan is to get him off the breathing assistance and cap the trach tube.
Colin did a big romp around the yard again this morning during his second time out. Lots of things to do on the home front today along with taking Colin out to play in the snow.
Barbara, thanks for the news, about Bob and the Winter Wonderland.
Prayers of hope and strength. You are doing great.
Thank you Barbara. We are all concerned and the updates are appreciated. Thank you taking the time and energy to post them in the midst of your own concern.
The news for Bob sounds encouraging. Continuing frequent prayers for health of mind and body, courage, strength and compassion.
I don’t know if Robert is an eye roller, but I have been entertaining the notion of wildly rolling eyes at the thought of all these prayers for such an analytical and scientific man.
You have more snow than Anchorage. We have had rain, RAIN, several days this week. The snow that remains is hard ice. The roads, even major, are slippier than snake snot. Only the most desperate and fool hardy drove anywhere yesterday.
Not our typical conditions.
