Gym this morning. As soon as Lori arrived to pick up a kit order, about 11:15, I took off for Winston and to see Bob. They had his bed in the chair position. He had been sitting up all morning. The nurse came in while I was visiting to bath him and put on a fresh gown.
He is making small improvements every day. He is breathing on his own but they are leaving the collar on to keep the secretions moist so they do not clog up his throat or he swallows them back in his lungs. He knew me and I could understand some of what he was mouthing to me but a lot I nor the nurse could get. We tried to see if he could write but he is too weak to hold the pen. After his bath and bedding change they put his bed back in the recline position. I could tell he was getting tired so I left and headed back home.
Glad to hear Bob is slowly improving. Thanks for the update.
