I had a good trip down to Winston yesterday. I ran several errands before getting to Frances and Al’s. At 5pm Frances and I left in separate cars to meet Bonnie for dinner at Mid Town Cafe. From there Frances went home and I followed Bonnie to Reynold’s Auditorium for the Winston-Salem symphony Plugged-In- Pops program featuring the Steep Canyon Ranger; an excellent group of musicians from North Carolina. They put on a fabulous show.
I headed back up the mountain about 9:15 this morning. Al left about 11:30. After 2 1/2 months of stress and grief dealing with Bob’s illness and death it was good for me to escape reality for a couple of hours and enjoy myself.
Thankfully it has been warm this weekend. We’ve had 2 inches of rain in Sparta with another inch to fall today. I am sure Winston has had at least an inch plus.
I’m glad to see you staying busy and partaking in joyful activities that feed your brain and heart.
Continued prayers for your well being. You, Al, and Frances continue to be on my mind as you negotiate a world without Bob.
