I took a little road trip this morning over to Jefferson and then continued on to Boone. I needed to pick up something from Wal-Mart which is in Jefferson on the way to Boone. Just on the other side of Jefferson, 221 was closed due to construction. I had to take a nice, winding, back country road into Boone which was fun to drive. There I had a 10am appointment with Subaru.

They do an Encore Delivery service up to six weeks from the purchase of the car. They have a non-salesperson who does a one-on-one in the car answering questions about all the electronic gadgets and features you run into after you’ve had the car for a few weeks. Yes, you can look it up in the manual but who can understand those things? Anyway, I am glad I went over because she showed me a couple of things including hooking up my phone to the Blue Tooth system and unbuckling and storing the middle back seat belt so it would not be in the way when I put the seats down to haul something. There were a few minor things I could have eventually discovered on my own but I am not good at discovering gadget stuff by myself. It only took half an hour and I was rewarded with a gas card. Boone is not really as convenient as Winston. She gave me a contact with the service department for their Toyota dealership down there where I can go to get service and oil changes. Modern does not have a Subaru dealership in Winston.

I was back home a little after noon. It is warm and mostly sunny today with a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm.
