Signs of fall are abundant here in the mountains. Some of the trees are turning while others, like the ones in my yard, are already dropping their leaves. We grow and ship a lot of pumpkins from this county. Driving around you can see them being harvested and/or on the back of flat bed trucks in large cardboard boxes.
This morning I changed the bed linens and put them in to wash. Colin and I went outside to pull up the tomato vines and dig up some of the grass that is trying to take over the garden and bed in front of the porch. I also cut back the forget-me-not plants and the bleeding heart.
I finished up outside, came in and took my shower, then headed into town. I had stuff to drop off at Cares and wanted to stop at Scott’s to pick up a couple of mum’s for the front porch.
Laundry and other assorted stuff to do this afternoon. It’s a beautiful day with lots of sunshine and a slight breeze. A little on the warm side and a chance of showers this evening.
