It was 34 degrees, sunny, and windy this morning. I left for Winston about 7:40 for a 9:30 appointment. After I finished up there I ran a couple of errands before meeting my friend Jean and her sister for lunch at Hickory Tavern. Jean and I had met up just before Christmas. Her sister lives in Augusta, GA and was up visiting for the week and wanted to see me. We all met ten or more years ago on one of the Holiday Tours trips to Chicago.
From lunch I headed back up the mountain. When I left Winston it was 53 degrees, sunny, and just a bit breezy. Here at the house when I arrived home around 2 pm it was 38 degrees and sunny with wind gusts over 50 mph.
After I let Colin out and did a couple of things here I had to head into town for a 3:15 staff meeting at the gym. We remain under a high wind warning until tomorrow morning.
