37 degrees, light rain, and breezy. Seems like I am always talking about the weather but this winter it’s been a major part of daily life. This morning we had a winter weather advisory for slick roads. My road and 21 were just wet but when I arrived at the gym around 8:30 I found out some of the other areas of the county had freezing rain and slick roads with school delayed 3 hours.
Currently its 40 degrees, windy, and foggy. We are under flood watch until tomorrow morning and a high wind warning until this evening.
After the gym I did a grocery store run. Odds and ends to get done today.
One of the nicest things about living in Southern California is not really thinking about the weather. For nine months, the temps indoors are pretty much the same as the temps outdoors. It was one of the things that threw me off when I moved to TX. I’d look outside and see a nice bright day, and open the door to an OVEN…..a very damp oven while I was inside in comfortable dry air conditioning.
You can’t do much about the weather, but you can control your reaction to it. Having fun in the snow with a good dog goes a long way toward making it tolerable 🙂
