90 degrees today feels like 97. Tomorrow is to be 100 with a heat index of 110. Very hot for July. I had a haircut appointment after work.
Since I really do not want Bob to stop reading my posts, I will not do them in italics. The mystery novel he referenced is the Kate Ellis book I finished last week. She always has two story lines going that eventually meet up at the end. She tells the old story (as in historical) at the beginning of each chapter in italics. It’s usually only a paragraph or sometimes two. I am sure the book can be read without reading the subplot but I would feel like I was reading only half the book. Very often I find the subplot story to be more fascinating than the modern day murder plot line. I am reading the next one in the series, The Flesh Tailor.
