Sunny today but cold. Low this morning in the upper 20’s. Still breezy but it’s warmed up into the the mid 30’s this afternoon.
I did some house cleaning chores this morning. This afternoon I am watching Bletchley Circle: San Francisco on the local PBS station and wrapping Christmas presents. Bob and I had watched the original Bletchley Circle. I did not know they did a spin off until I happen to see on the TV lineup for this afternoon.
Hi Barbara, sounds like you’re set for the Holidays. It finally got chilly here in Houston and it’s starting to feel like Christmas. I’m still late putting out decorations.
You mentioned that pasta was wiped out when you went shopping, and I saw the same thing. Every bag was gone and there wasn’t a sale.
I know you said you didn’t have a ton of food in the fridge, but I hope you’ve still got some stocks put away 🙂 It definitely feels like we’re in an “If you see it you should buy it” period which of course means storing it until needed.
I feel like Bob really called it with the slow slide, and I’m always grateful that I got my head start getting ready. I still hope that we’re wrong, but every day seems to bring a new confirmation.
And given supply chain issues, I’m sure glad your plumbing issue was so minor!
Kids will be home from school starting Wednesday so I’LL have my hands full 🙂 I hope you have a good Holiday season with family and friends.
Take care,
nick
Best wishes to you and your family for the holidays.
Yes, Bob predicted a lot of what is happening today. While I don’t store a lot of fresh stuff in the fridge I have plenty of canned goods, food in the freezer, and and other back up stuff for meals. And, I too, continue to buy it if I see it even!
