I started a new book by a new author J.B. Stanley on Thursday evening. With no power on Friday night we had five or so hours of reading time giving me time to finish the first book in her series A Supper Club Mystery, Carbs and Cadavers. James Henry moves back home to take care of his widowed father leaving his job as a professor at William and Mary in Williamsburg. Home is small town Quincy Gap in Virginia where he takes the job as head librarian of their small town library. Overweight, divorced, shy, and lonely he meets three women and another man in a newly formed supper club named the Flab Five to support one another in loosing weight. When a mysterious death occurs they combine their talents to find the real murderer.
I am now reading the 4th book in the Edie Clare mystery series, Never Kissed Good Night on my kindle. As for the new Stanley titled I discovered her books when Bob downloaded the third title in her series to my kindle. The library has the first two books in the six book series.
