It’s currently cloudy and breezy with temperatures in the upper 40’s. We started the day at 61 degrees. Temperatures are steadily falling and the fog has rolled in. Chance of rain this afternoon and thunderstorms. Then we drop down into the upper 20’s by tonight with snow showers.

I went to the gym this morning then stopped at the library and the drug store.

Not much else going on today. Enjoying watching the birds at the feeders with my usual visitors of titmice, woodpeckers, finches, and an occasional  nut hatch.

I’ve been watching for different species of bird at my BOL, since it’s different habitat from Houston. I have now seen the Texas Roadrunner twice!

We get forest birds, open field birds, freshwater, and even the occasional salt water bird stopping by. LOTS of big vultures, not as many big ravens as at home in Houston. Hawks are plentiful, and I hear the owl, but don’t see him. Daughter made an owl box in Girl Scouts, and I put it up, but no one has moved in yet… but he’s close by, based on his calls.

It’s a little bit of fun to spot a species you haven’t seen previously.
