A very nasty weather morning and day. It poured here just before I left to go to work. I caught up with the rain downtown walking from the parking deck to the building. Despite my big golf umbrella my shoes and the bottom of my pants were soaked. But, I was prepared by wearing a pair of my heavier, waterproof shoes. We were under tornado watch until 5pm. Despite a mostly rainy day we only about 1/2 an inch here.

Today was my Friday. In the morning Marcy and I are headed for a little road trip to the mountains. Blowing Rock tomorrow and tomorrow night then on to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock for two nights, then home. I am looking forward to some R&R.
