Sunny but chilly and windy today with highs in the upper 50’s.
I did a couple of things outdoors this morning but it was too windy to do much. I watered the couple of pots still looking good and dumped a couple.
Came back in and changed the sheets and did a few things in the house.
This afternoon went over to Donna’s for crafting afternoon.
Sunny, warm, and breezy with highs in the mid 70’s.
This morning I did outside chores. I washed the inside and outside windows in the den and my bathroom. Took the cushions off the porch furniture and hosed those down along with the pots that I have emptied. Cleaned the inside and outside of the front door, swept off the porch, and did a few other odds and ends.
This afternoon I had a Friends of the Library meeting then I went to Donna’s to do crafts.
Remnants of hurricane Helene have been blowing through the mountains starting yesterday with 9 inches of rain by midnight last night.
Starting early this morning the main system starting working its way through here with more rain and 60 to 70 mph wind gusts. I’ve had another 5 inches of rain since midnight so far.
Thankfully, no trees down in my yard but I have a yard full of pine tree limbs and debris to clean up. There is a row of pine trees across the street on the hill where the gas station is. One of those blew down as I was looking out the window. No flooding issues as I live on top of a ridge.
Most of the rain has blown through but we still have a lot of high wind gusts that will be around until early this evening.
Mostly sunny and warm until late this afternoon. Clouds have moved in bringing some thunderstorms for this evening.
I went to the gym this morning to walk then a quick stop at the grocery store on the way home. After lunch I had a dentist appointment for my six month cleaning then went over to Donna’s to do some crafting stuff.
