I was in the middle of my update last night
when my computer crashed. The one Bob gave me while I was away at the
beach is his old den system which crashes periodically. The power
supply needs replaced. I guess we will do open heart surgery this
weekend on it.
So, I shall type very fast, save often, and be very brief. A very busy
day at work both yesterday and today. I did make it to the Y last
night.
I am reading another Victoria Thompson, Gaslight Mystery, Murder On Bank Stree
Light rain most of yesterday and today with a few downpours now and
then. At least with the rain and wind most of the remaining leaves
should come down.
We are watching the end of seson 2 of Grey's Anatomy.

Typing fast again. I tried to do an update
earlier but my system crashed. Busy week. We had the Firm Thanksgiving
luncheon on Wednesday. Lunch with Bonnie on Thursday. I made the
grocery store run last night. Today I left an hour early to run out to
Wal-Mart to pick some things up I needed for Christmas preparations.
I am reading a new series by Susan Wittag Albert set inn1930's Darling,
Alabama featuring the Darling Dahlias garden club, The Darling Dahlias
and the Cucumber Tree. I am not sure yet if I will like this series as
well as I do her China Bayles and her Beatrix Potter but I'll continue
reading.

We spent this morning putting my old
motherboard and hard drive in a new case with a new power supply hoping
to fix my crashing problems.
But, when I came in this afternoon my system had rebooted again. Not sure what is going on.
We finished up around noon. After lunch
Bob blew the leaves from the roof then I blew them off the natural
areas. I spent the rest of the afternoon using the lawn vacuum. This
was more or less the last pass though there a still leaves on a few of
the neighbors trees. The lawn needs one last mowing but I was too tired
to do that this afternoon.
It was a really pretty day to be outside with blue skies and
temperatures in the mid 60's. It was warm in the sun, coolish in the
shade with the breeze.

House cleaning this morning. Since it is
almost time for my annual deep cleaning I am doing maintenance for now.
Bathrooms and vacuuming up hair and leaves.
I have dismantled the stuff from the table tops and mantle in the den
and living room in preparation for Christmas decorating. Bob helped me
haul up the stuff from the basement so I'd have that done. With me
being away next weekend for Thanksgiving I wanted to have things ready
for the following weekend. I usually do my tree the weekend of
Thanksgiving. A week later will not make that much of a difference but
at least I have everything ready to go once I get my tree.
Friday when I went to Wal-Mart I bought a new small artificial tree
with lights for the den. My two foot was getting a little worse for
wear. I bought a three foot since I have to put it on the small table
beside the TV stand this year since we bought the new 37" TV.
Malcolm had his pre-winter bath this morning. It's such a mild day
again it was good day for him to get his last bath of the year. He is
such a good dog. I send him in the downstairs bath and he goes right
into the shower without a fuss. He's pretty good once I get in there to
start bathing him about not trying to get back out.
