Happy 63rd wedding anniversary to my folks.
We are still having summer temperatures. Last Monday we had snow
and 20 degree temperatures with 77 degrees five days later. The
high today was 80, the record high was 81. I look for it to be 20 again
by this coming Friday with snow. Guess we will see what happens. I did
not bother to wash the car this past weekend since they are calling for
rain starting later this week. All that salt on the roads will just get
splashed back on the car when the roads get wet. The streets in our
neighborhood are covered in it.
Over the weekend we watched some movies a friends loaned us; A Good Woman and An Ideal Husband. Both excellent films.

Happy Birthday to my sister. I picked up mom
and dad after work then we swung by Frances' to pick up Al on the way
to Texas Land and Cattle. We had a very nice dinner, lots of fun, great
food.
I finished the Hamish and started another Dalziel and Pascoe by Reginald Hill.
Warm weather continues at least through tomorrow. I took a nice walk during lunch.

Is it Friday yet? I have been working on a
TEDIOUS project this week. That, along with the time change, is kicking
me in the behind. I did make it to the gym Monday and Wednesday nights,
Tuesday night out to dinner, tomorrow night grocery store and library.
Tonight is the only night I have made it home at "regular" time. It
takes me about a week to get adjusted to the new time.
The first
round of the ACC tournament started today. The early game for tonight
is not on a local channel. The late game at 9:30 is but I will be in
bed by then reading, if I can stay awake. Two games were this
afternoon.
Tomorrow is the big day with the higher ranked
teams seeing action tomorrow again the winners from today. The Firm
offers pizza for everyone to enjoy while watching Friday games with the
first ranked team playing at noon. Duke and Wake both play tomorrow
night.
Cold weather is making its way back into the state
tonight. Some of the mountain counties may get some winter weather but
we are supposed to only get a cold rain.

I did sit up late last night to watched the
Duke/Boston College game which turned out to be a defensive battle with
Duke winning by one point. I wanted to finish reading the Dalziel
and Pascoe anyway so I watched the game and finished my book at the
same time. Yes, between commercial breaks and time outs I can get
plenty of reading in. By the way, another good read from Hill. I will
not give anything away in case you are reading the series but this one
has a very odd twist to the plot.
Today is a nasty day. Rainy
and cold with temperatures staying just enough into the high 30's to
keep it a cold rain. After I brushed the dogs Bob went downstairs to
help me with the basement projects. We first cleaned up the messy
corner in the non-finished area before tackling the finished part. Bob
put all his chemistry equipment away while I tidied up. After a good
dusting and vacuuming I used the dog hair squeegee on the stairs.
Another major project crossed off the list.
With warm weather
and spring just around the corner I need to finish up major indoor
projects this month. Weekends will be taken up with lawn stuff, the
usual house cleaning chores and golf. I can save small projects for
rainy or no-golf weekends.
This afternoon I will start another
Stephen Booth, The Dead Place, while switching back and forth between
golf and the ACC semi-final matches and taking a much deserved
afternoon off.

House is cleaned, bills are paid, desk is cleaned off.
It is another nasty, cold, rainy day. Duke won yesterday, they play this afternoon in the final against Florida State.
Golf, reading, basketball, playing with the dogs. What else can you do on a nasty day?
