Another
busy day. It started off with Malcolm throwing up on the bedroom floor.
Then, Bob informed me he had a tooth ache. I told him I would call the
dentist when I got to work since I doubted he could get in first thing
on a Monday morning anyway. With only one car I have to coordinate
getting him back and forth to his appointment.
At work I had things coming at me in all directions while trying to
make Bob's dental appointment and get things coordinated to get my
Trooper to a transmission place on my folks side of town. Since I had
to leave at 4 to go pick them up from the hospital I told Bob I would
meet him there at 4:30 after I dropped mom and dad off at home. They
are going to look over the paperwork American Express sent us in our
claim denial and let us know what we should do next. He drove it like I
did yesterday, dropping into first gear to get it going then shifting
back into drive. Personally, I am ready to take it out back and shoot
it to get it out of its misery.
Warm but really windy today. We've had a lot of small fires break
out in our county and surrounding ones due to the dry conditions. We
are below normal in rainfall even after all the snow.

Another exciting day. Bob and I left the
house at 7:30. I dropped him off at the dentist office then drove to
the hospital to pick up dad. I parked outside the entrance he was
meeting me at after he picked up his heart monitor he has to wear for
48 hours. I only had to wait about 15 minutes. I took him home then
drove back to the dentist to pick up Bob. He was waiting on me. I
brought him back home then on to work arriving at the parking deck a
little after 9:30.
To sum things up I spent two hours in the car never getting more than
ten miles from home driving in a complete circle before ending up at
work. And people wonder why I act so weird.
I spent the entire day on one project that is not finished working
through lunch to make up my time for being late. I was supposed to take
tomorrow off because I had several places to take the folks. Thankfully
my brother-in-law Al is home and willing to spend his day off doing
that for me. It will be a big help that I can work tomorrow and get
this project finished.
I am reading the latest in the Victoria Thompson Gaslight Mystery, Murder on Lexington Avenue.

I left work at 4pm for my chiropractor
appointment. From there I went to Lone Star to meet the folks, Al, and
Frances for a belated Valentine celebration dinner. Dad is doing really
well. He takes his heart monitor off tomorrow morning. Not sure what
they are looking for but I guess we'll find out. He got a good report
at his family practice doctor on Monday.
It is still warm and sunny. By afternoon you don't even need a coat
unless the wind is blowing hard. We will pay for this in March to be
sure.

Bonnie came into town to have lunch with me
today. Today was the first and will be the only day I've taken a lunch
break all week. I've been working through lunch to make up for my in
late/leave early hours to keep from using a lot of PDO time. I'll do
the same tomorrow. It's worked out pretty well since I've been so busy
trying to get on top of my work load. The only problem with that is I
loose some reading time that I usually get a lunch. Off to the Y after
work. Glad tomorrow is Friday.

Yet another whirlwind day. Bob and I left
home at 7:30 this morning to pick up my truck at L & R Motors.
Turns out it was the alternator. Guess we'll never know if the
transmission needed done or not last fall.
I took off in my truck to pick up mom and dad to take them to the
hospital to volunteer then on to work. I worked straight through from
9:40 to 3pm pretty much non-stop on a bates labeling project until I
left at 3. After I picked the folks up at the hospital I dropped mom
off at the beauty shop and took dad home before I went to my
chiropractor appointment. Back to the house to pick up dad then picked
up mom then on to dinner at East Coast Wings and the grocery store. On
the way home from the store we had to stop at Wa-Mart to pick up a
couple of things for dad. By the time I unloaded their stuff and drove
back across town it was 8pm.
I think we set a record high today with temperatures in the mid to
upper 70's. If we did not set a record we had to have come pretty close.

I've ceaned the bathrooms and vacuumed.
Malcolm and I picked up sticks before I fired up the lawn vacuum. With
it so dry it was good time to get the leaves and junk up off the yard
that have accumulated over the winter. I used the string trimmer to mow
down the liriope in the back. All this accomplished by noon.
After lunch I had to run a quick errand then washed the truck when I
got back home. It's running just great, let's hope it continues.
I'll watch some golf this afternoon while I am putting some labels on Bob's chemistry sets.

I went over to the folks house for lunch then
took dad along while I played nine holes of golf. I did okay
considering. I did hit that bucket of balls a couple of weeks ago but
you can practice chipping and putting at the range. It was fun to just
get out and really play rather than just hit balls. It was backed up
with a short wait on each hole. Dad got out of the cart and chipped and
putted at a couple of holes.
It was not nearly as warm or sunny as it was yesterday but the
temperatures were at least up in the high 50's with a few gusty winds
once in awhile.
